Dr. Paul M. Lisnek is nationally recognized for his work as a keynote speaker, communications and negotiation trainer, jury/trial consultant, television anchor and commentator, and as an author. He anchors “Politics Tonight,” a nightly political television talk show airing on CLTV (the 24 hour sister news station to WGN-TV) and is the political analyst for WGN-TV providing analysis on the station’s news programs. He also anchors “Newsmakers” on Headline News Channel, “Political Update with Paul Lisnek,” and “Broadway in Chicago Backstage” airing on CN100, the Comcast Network where he interviews leading political, social and entertainment figures. Paul appeared frequently on CNN’s Anderson Cooper 360º, was featured on NBC Nightly News “In His Own Words” segment and was a frequent analyst on NBC News’ “Today Show” and “Nightly News.” He also appears on “In Session” (formerly Court TV). Paul has received 3 Emmys, 2 Telly awards (silver and bronze) for excellence, 2 Beacon and 4 Cablefax Awards for his television work, including recognition as Best Television Host. The State of Illinois House of Representatives honored Paul by passing a resolution recognizing his successful career in television. Paul is also an on-air expert for several radio stations across the country, including NPR’s Talk of the Nation, CNN Radio and FM 101.1.

He has trained countless lawyers in bar associations (including annual presentations at the American Bar Association Annual Meetings) and law Kemper Financial, Baxter Healthcare, Ralston Purina, Motorola, AT&T, Federal Express, Sprint/NEXTEL, Internal Revenue Service, and Wachovia among many others.

Formerly an assistant dean and lecturer in law at Loyola University Chicago School of Law in Chicago, Dr. Lisnek has taught courses at Pepperdine University School of Law’s Institute for Dispute Resolution, DePaul University and University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He has received awards for Excellence in Teaching and has been honored for his work by the University of Illinois Department of Communication and by the College of Law (as its Distinguished Alumnus, 2008).
 
Paul is one the most popular national lecturers at Bar Review time teaching professional responsibility and constitutional law for BarBri Bar Review. He also serves as a commissioner and inquiry panel chairperson for the Illinois Attorney Registration and Disciplinary Commission, an Illinois Supreme Court appointment he has held for well over twenty years.
 
Dr. Lisnek has authored numerous articles and thirteen books, including The Hidden Jury and Other Secret Tactics Lawyers Use to Win; The Art of Lawyering; Winning the Mind Game: Negotiating in Business and Life; and Quality Mind, Quality Life.  Legal books address the topics of depositions, courtroom advocacy and jury psychology, negotiation, interviewing and counseling. He is currently completing his first fiction book and has been an executive producer for theatrical productions as well as jazz and vocal CDs.
